We will discuss and help you decide on self-administered nightly gel or weekly shots, or in-office weekly shots.  If you choose:

• Self-administered, the prescription is sent to a pharmacy of your choice.  The  estimated lowest monthly cash-pay price of testosterone using a prescription cost-saving app like GoodRx is:  Gel for women: ~$20; gel for men: ~$46; liquid for injection: ~$12
• If in-office shots, the cost of medicine is included.  Simply schedule injections HERE.

NOTE:   Labs are at cost, and are billed 1-3 months later, once we receive the bill.  Which labs are recommended is dependent on gender and risk factors as indicated (follow up labs will only include pertinent labs)

• Testosterone, free & total, with SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin) – must be done between 8:00 and 11:00 a.m. (fasting, about 8 hours without calories; however, please drink water to stay well-hydrated)
• Fasting lipid profile (FLP – again, please come fasting)
• Comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP)
• Complete blood count (CBC)
• Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH)
• Hemoglobin A1c (added only if initial fasting glucose level is elevated)
• Estradiol
• Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH – women only) and luteinizing hormone (LH)
• Prolactin (added only if LH is low or low-normal)
• Prostate-specific antigen (PSA – men only)
